Christ’ descent into Hades, bursting open the gates of Death with his feet. With his right hand Christ raises Adam from the dead. Opposite Adam is his wife Eve, who is also rising from her tomb. Behind Adam the two the kings David and Solomon, the prophet Daniel and John the Forerunner (the Baptist) are depicted. On the opposite side Moses, Abel and other righteous from the Old Testament are awaiting their salvation. Above the almond shaped mandorla two angels are holding the cross. In the border tha New Testament Trinity.
